Outstanding Dog 2009

 

           

 Coeur d'Alene Dog Fanciers Outstanding Dog of the Year Awards 

 

Awards  will be presented in 2009 in November to a dog that has demonstrated exemplary behavior,

whether large or seemingly small, that has significantly benefited a community or individual. Any dog living

in Northern Idaho or Spokane County is eligible to be nominated for the award. The nomination for a dog

must be received by  the Club by October 31, 2009, and should  include behavior or actions by the nominated

dog that took place between January 1, 2009 and October 31, 2009.

Categories include:

 

            Service or Therapy Dog

            Companion Dog

            Search & Rescue or Law Enforcement

 

The dog receiving the award will have its picture with its name, owners’s name,  County of

residence, and a brief summary describing how the dog earned the Award, displayed on the Club

website.  A picture of the dog with its name will be displayed on a wall at the Club Building after the

award is granted.

 

Nomination may be made by any person, including the owner of the dog and should include the

following information:                                                  

           

            Picture of the dog

            A short essay, 500 words or less, describing the outstanding behavior of the dog

            Dog’s call name, age, sex

            Nominator’s name, address, phone number (email also if available)

            Owner’s name, address, phone number (email also if  available)

 

Nomination form may be downloaded from the Club’s website and mailed to:

and must be postmarked by October 31, 2009.

 

Each honoree will receive a cash award and a plaque with the dog’s name,  Award Information and  Dog Club

emblem on it.
