Beginning Obedience:  Focus will be on training your dog to sit, stay, walk on lead by your side, down, and come when called.  This class could lay the ground work for the handler/dog team to continue to train towards obtaining the Companion Dog title through AKC, if desired.

Puppy SocializationFor puppies 3 to 6 months of age. Focus is on socializing your puppy by exposing him/her to other dogs, people, and situations.  The puppy will learn to accept a collar/leash, handling by you and others.  Crate training will be addressed as well as grooming.

Rally:  Rally is an exciting class that focuses on the pre-basics of obedience, with fun, motivational methods.  It can lay the ground work for the handler/dog team to compete in beginning rally at AKC trials. The dog must be able to sit, stay, come when called and walk on a loose lead.

Canine Good Citizen:  This class is geared toward the handler/dog team successfully taking the AKC Canine Good Citizen test offered on the 8th week. (The test is not mandatory and the dog does not need to be registered with AKC to receive the CGC certificate.) The dog will learn to:  walk by the handler’s side in a crowd, sit/stay and come when called, be groomed by a stranger, sit/stay by the handlers side when meeting a strange handler and dog. (This is a great class for puppies 6 months and older as well as adult dogs.)

NOTE: We are not accepting dogs that are people or dog aggressive.  Dogs must be current on vaccinations; proof of vaccinations is required at registration.
